1. Which chapter in World History did you enjoy most this year and why?
The chapter I enjoyed most in world history was chapter 12 Asian empires, lesson 3 the Khmer. There were only two subtopics which were The Khmer Kingdom, and A Stone Wonder. I enjoyed this lesson because I learned a lot about how people did things in the 800’s. It was very interesting, how they chose leaders.
2. Describe some of the things that you learned in that chapter. Is there a project that you completed that you enjoyed working on?
Some of the things I learned in this chapter was, nearly 50,000 artisans, workers, and slaves worked on the Angkor Wat temple which took nearly 40 years, I also learned that the irrigation system was the key to the successful economy. The project that we did was a power point and a timeline. It was a partner project and both people were assigned different parts.
3. What new skills have you learned throughout the year?
A new skill that I learned throughout the year was how to find things on a map. I also learned that reading everything on the page is helpful for a test.
4. How can you apply this knowledge to the real world?
I can apply learning how to find things on a map to the real world, by driving where I have never been and using a map to help me get there. I can also apply reading everything on a page to the real world be having a test to get into something and you study out of a book you could use the other information that is not something you would read to get an answer right.
